Run your first discovery job
Create a discovery job, understand statuses, review candidates and decide what to qualify next.
With an ICP saved, open Discovery and create a job. Confirm industries, geography and exclusions look right - jobs can inherit the saved ICP or accept overrides for a single run.
Job lifecycle
Jobs move through a small set of statuses.
- PENDING - queued
- RUNNING - provider search in progress
- COMPLETED - results ready to review
- FAILED or CANCELLED - check filters, provider configuration and usage limits
Review candidates
Open results as companies first. Exclude obvious mismatches. Run deeper analysis on promising rows. Contact discovery is a separate step and only runs when a contact provider is configured for your plan.
Discovery never sends email. Its job is to build a defensible company list before outreach.
Limits to watch
Plans cap concurrent discovery jobs and monthly volume. If a create request fails, open Billing → Usage and wait for an active job to finish or upgrade when you need more capacity.
